Fitbit

Overview

You can link a Fitbit account to Record from our import page. We automatically receive the following workout information once daily from connected Fitbit accounts:

  • Daily Steps
  • Sleep Total
  • Weight (only if entered in Fitbit or you have a Fitbit Aria scale)

Troubleshooting

Activities and stats are not syncing to Record account

At this time we are only able to sync steps and sleep from Fitbit. These will appear in Record as part of your total daily steps count on the Dashboard. Steps from Fitbit should refresh periodically throughout the day and "fill in" the quadrant as you near your daily Step Goal.

If steps are not syncing at all, review the following troubleshooting:

  • Make sure Fitbit is selected as your data source for steps and/or sleep. To check this, open UA Record > tap the "UA Sync" icon in the upper right > tap "Manage Priority" > make sure Fitbit is selected as your source for steps and/or sleep. Wait up to 24 hours for this change to take effect and Fitbit steps to appear on your Record dashboard.

  • If there is still not any information transferred over, navigate to your "Manage Apps & Devices" page in the app by tapping on the "UA Sync" icon in the upper right corner of your dashboard. Select Fitbit from your apps and devices, tap the red "Disconnect" icon > confirm disconnection. After doing so, reconnect Fitbit, make sure it is prioritized, and wait 24 hours for data to appear in Record.

My workouts do not sync from Fitbit to Record

At this time we do not import workouts or activities logged with Fitbit.

Can I use my Fitbit Charge or Surge HR to capture heart rate in Record?

At this time Record cannot utilize your Charge or Surge HR to capture heart rate data. Eventually we hope to add this feature when the ability to do so becomes available from Fitbit.

I'm in a step challenge, and some of my information from Fitbit didn't sync over. Now, my step count on the challenge leaderboard is wrong! What can I do to fix it?

First, we're sorry for any missing data in your UA Record account. To remedy this discrepancy, we suggest users log a 'Walk' workout on the day in question. For reference, 1 mile of walking is approximately equal to 2000 steps in UA Record. For more information about how to log a workout, check out the linked Help Center article.
