Connecting your UA Band™ to your Phone
1. Before attempting to connect your band to your mobile phone, make sure to:
  • Download and install UA Record on your phone.
  • Turn on Bluetooth® on your phone.
  • Place your UA Band near your phone.

2. Launch the UA Record app on your phone.

Do one of the following:
  • If you are a new UA Record user, tap Register to create your UA Record account.
  • If you already have a UA Record or MapMyFitness account, log in using your email and password.
3. Once signed in, tap the UA Sync icon in the top right of the Record Dashboard > Select UA Band > tap "Connect."
 
4. When prompted in the app, enter or confirm the passkey displayed on your UA Band. (If you’re using an Android phone and you don’t see your passkey displayed, check your notification panel).
 
5. Tap Continue to complete the setup on your phone.
 
Sizing your UA Band
  1. Place UA Band on your wrist, and then insert the other end of the strap through the buckle. 
  2. Adjust strap until UA Band fits snugly, then fasten the clasps.
For best heart rate results, wear your band further down your wrist, at least one finger width from your wrist.
                                 
 
Replacing your UA Band Strap
If the band’s strap is too large to fit snugly on your wrist, you can replace it with the smaller one. Your UA Band comes with an extra strap that can fit smaller wrist sizes. To replace the strap with a different size, follow these steps:
  • Insert the pin provided into the small provided into the small hole on the underside of the strap.
                                    
  • Attach the replacement strap to the main portion of the band. Push and press the two towards one another firmly to lock them in place.
                                    
  • After attaching the strap, gently pull on the strap to check if it is securely fastened.
Now that you're band is connected to your phone and fitted correctly to your wrist, you can begin orienting yourself with its functions. 

About Your UA Band
Your UA Band tracks your daily activity, workouts, calories burned, resting heart rate and sleep quality.

Indicator LED
Your UA Band has an LED light that will change colors for various reasons.
  • Red when your UA Band™ is charging.
  • Green when your UA Band is connected to the power adapter or a computer and the battery is fully charged.
  • Flashing blue when your UA Band is trying to pair via Bluetooth with your phone.
When your UA Band and UA Heart Rate™ are connected, your heart rate zone is indicated by different colors on the LED. See the section on UA Heart Rate for more details
 
Charging your UA Band
To turn the band on or off, press and hold the Home button for 3 seconds. 
If your band doesn't turn on after pressing and holding the Home button, you will need to change it by following these steps:
  • Connect your UA Band to the supplied charging cable.
  • Plug the USB cable end to a power source.
  • When charging, your UA Band will display a red light next to the Home button. Once fully charged, the light will turn green.
      
Expected battery life is five days, if the notification feature is off. This estimate accounts for one hour of tracked exercise per day, and sleep tracking each night.  The maximum battery time for a continuous tracked workout is five hours. You can recharge your battery to its full life amount in less than an hour.
 
To check your UA Band's remaining battery,
  1. On the Home screen, tap .
  2. Tap . You'll see the battery life as a percentage. 
*If you have trouble charing UA Band, check if there’s dirt on the band’s contact pin. Clean the dirt to resume charging.
